GIUSTINI / STAGETTI GALLERIA O. ROMA

Founded in Rome in 2009, Giustini / Stagetti Galleria O. Roma focuses on both historical Italian design masters and top quality manufacturers from 1930 to 1970, and also international contemporary design works.

The gallery’s partners, Roberto Giustini and Stefano Stagetti have, respectively, long-standing experience in contemporary art and design and Italian modern design.

Roberto Giustini has been involved in several projects for private and public spaces involving Ettore Sottsass and Enzo Cucchi (1999-2006) whilst Stefano Stagetti showcased the first, privately staged, Fontana Arte exhibition (“Luci e Trasparenze”, in 2006) in his former gallery in Rome – Babuino Novecento – and has also carried out research and organized exhibitions on the production of Gio Ponti (“Oggetti di design”, 2007) and Ettore Sottsass (“Una collezione 1959-1974, in 2008).

As regards contemporary design, the “Privato Romano Interno” project, curated by Emanuela Nobile Mino, sees international designers (to date, the Campana Brothers, Konstantin Grcic, Formafantasma, Michael Anastassiades) invited to re-think the traditions of Italian culture and craftsmanship in order to develop collections exclusively produced for the gallery which are often presented in historically relevant venues, conceptually connected to the project of each designer (such as, for example, for the Campana Brothers’ “Brazilian Baroque Collection” which was presented within the masterpiece of Baroque architecture, Galleria Pietro da Cortona at Palazzo Pamphilj, Roma).

Giustini / Stagetti Galleria O. Roma regularly collaborates with museums and public institutions to support and promote its artists.
